Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA license or be enrolled in a CNA program.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification coursework.
• Strong desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must maintain good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled and elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals are given.
• Report missing ID bands immediately to admissions coordinator.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and filled within resident reach.
• Carry out other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Director or Administrator.
