Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, mobility.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in EMR; record daily weights.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge tasks; prepare rooms and belongings.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing per protocol; label accurately.
• Handle errands and maintain nursing area stock; clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport; support diet needs.
• Maintain skin integrity and use TED hoses and devices.
• May remove IVs, perform post-mortem care, and bladder scans per site needs.
• Follow infection prevention policies and use proper PPE.
