Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document B/P, TPR, input/output, daily weights in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer, discharge and room setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care tests as directed.
• Run errands and maintain stock for nursing area; clean equipment.
• Position and transport patients using proper technique and devices.
• Maintain skin integrity and provide TED hose/compression devices.
• May remove IVs, post mortem care, and bladder scans per RN/site policy.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and proper PPE usage.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and document patient status.
