Job summary

The Harmony Senior Services community in Avon, IN is seeking a dedicated CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities, encourage independence, and support meaningful engagement. You will report changes, document care, and collaborate with the nursing team to deliver compassionate care.

Required are a valid CNA license, excellent communication, ability to lift and assist residents, and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license in the state where the community operates.
• Strong communication skills in writing and speech.
• Ability to work well with all levels of personnel and residents.
• Polite, considerate, and part of the nursing team.
• Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RNs/LPNs and maintain documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and records.
• Assist new residents with move-in transitions and emotional support.
• Document resident status and communicate updates to family when directed.
