Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chattanooga is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nursing staff in a 49-bed LTAC setting. You will help patients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and perform basic clinical skills under RN supervision in a 24/7 care environment.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing rooms for admission and discharge, responding to call lights, assisting with meals, and helping maintain a clean, safe patient area.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
• Minimum six months' experience in acute or long-term care facility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing personnel in patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide emotional support.
• Takes and records vital signs and monitors intake/outcome.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Respond to call lights and paging system promptly.
• Under RN direction, perform routine treatment procedures as assigned.
• Assist with meals and feeding.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable patient environment.
