Job summary

ScionHealth’s Kindred Hospital Santa Ana seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care in an acute long‑term setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and help prepare rooms and equipment for admissions and transfers.

Under RN supervision, you may perform routine procedures, respond to call lights, and assist with meals and transport. AHS HS diploma, CNA and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Good attendance is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Take and record vitals like temperature, pulse, respiration, weight and intake/output; document promptly.
• Prepare patient room and equipment for admissions, transfers and discharge.
• Answer patient call lights, telephone, and paging system promptly.
