Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our care team on a full-time 0.9 FTE schedule. The NA will assist patients with daily living activities, work under a registered nurse, and help provide holistic care aligned with our mission and standards.

Responsibilities include direct patient support, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to hospital policies. Weekend/holiday rotation required; day shift hours typically from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; 18 in some areas as allowed by law.
• Must meet one of: Iowa registry active, 75-hour CNA course proof, EMT certification, or military medical specialty training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training due within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) due within 30 days and renewed every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living to support comfort and safety.
• Provide holistic, compassionate, individualized patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Support nursing staff and coordinate with care team per MercyOne policies.
• Uphold MercyOne mission, values, and patient-centered care standards.
