Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents under nursing leadership, working as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team focused on resident-directed care.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, responding to call lights, maintaining dignity, documenting care, and contributing to care/service plans while keeping residents safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri CNA certification; current Illinois CNA certification; enrollment on PA Nurse Aide Registry within 120 days of training completion.
• Ability to communicate with residents and provide person-centered care.
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort; provides ADL care per scope of practice; answers call lights and reports observations to nurse.
• Assists residents’ personal care needs and supports independence.
• Observes residents to identify changing needs and reports information to the nurse.
• Participates in residents’ care/service plans to improve quality of life.
• Assists during mealtimes and feeds residents who need full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families; provides compassionate, professional support.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activity decisions; assists with activities.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff supervision.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
