Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Jackson is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide quality nursing care to residents and coordinate with the care team. You will assist with grooming, feeding, hygiene, mobility and documentation, following the resident's care plan.

The role requires Michigan CNA certification or completion of an approved training program and certification within 4 months of hire, with about one year of long-term care experience preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test.
• Must be certified within 4 months of hire.
• One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or health care desired.
• Must read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents while upholding rights, dignity and independence.
• Follows individualized care plans and relays observations to the charge nurse.
• Assists with grooming, bathing, hygiene, feeding, toileting, mobility and ROM as required.
• Maintains resident privacy, safety and a caring environment; keeps rooms tidy.
• Documents care provided in PCC and participates in care planning.
• Competes tasks assigned by the charge nurse and attends staff meetings.
