Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Michigan seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide quality nursing care to residents, coordinate work with other departments, and support the supervisor in daily operations.

The CNA will assist with grooming, mobility, hygiene, and daily activities while upholding residents' rights and dignity, reporting changes promptly to the charge nurse, and following infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test.
• Must be certified within 4 months of hire.
• One year of experience in the long-term care, hospice, or health care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that respects rights and dignity.
• Coordinates work within the department and with other departments, reporting to the supervisor.
• Assists with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, incontinence care, transfers and mobility per care plan.
• Maintains residents' privacy and comfort; documents care and observations.
• Observes changes in resident condition and reports to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Performs tasks such as monitoring vital signs and collecting specimens per directive.
• Ensures safety and infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE.
