Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide quality resident care in a respectful environment. You will coordinate with the care team, support the long-term care program and report observations to the supervisor.

The role requires Michigan CNA certification or enrollment in an approved program, and typically one year of LTC/hospice experience. Duties include daily living assistance, monitoring residents, and documenting care per policy.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan CNA certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and be eligible to test.
• One year of experience in the long-term care, hospice, or health care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice and individuality.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them.
• Assists with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, and mobility per the care plan.
• Attends to changes in residents’ condition and reports to the Charge Nurse.
• Documents care provided or other information in PCC per department policies.
• Performs safety and infection control procedures including hand washing and PPE usage.
• Assists with orienting residents and families on admission or transfer and participates in activities.
