Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold or be enrolled in a CNA program.
• At least 6 months CNA experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to interact compassionately with residents and families.
• Able to work with ill, elderly and emotionally upset individuals.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Able to work in a team and maintain patience.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every 2 hours.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals.
• Make beds and clean bedside tables.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Support residents for therapy, activities, and transportation.
• Keep incontinent residents clean and dry; change linens as needed.
• Respond promptly to nurse call system and residents’ needs.
• Report issues to the Charge Nurse and participate in training.
• Other duties as directed by nursing leadership.
