Job summary

GBMC Hospital in Towson is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the dayshift (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.). Under supervision, assist nurses with direct and indirect patient care, maintain infection control, and support basic activities of daily living for patients.

Requires HS Diploma, CPR (Heart Saver), CNA license, and Maryland registration. At least 6 months of direct patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and write English to document patient care and take measurements.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
• Competent to safely handle medications as part of nursing support.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nurses with direct and indirect patient care.
• Follow infection prevention techniques and document care.
• Support activities of daily living and mobility for assigned patients.
• Transport medications and aid in feeding and nourishment as needed.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate needs to nursing staff.
