Job summary

GBMC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care under nurse supervision in our Baltimore facility. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and help ensure comfort and safety for assigned patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, current CPR certification, a Maryland CNA registration, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification (Heart Saver).
• CNA certification and Maryland Board of Nursing registration as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Provides care, comfort, and safety under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Uses proper infection prevention techniques.
• Performs and records delegated nursing care procedures.
• Observes patients and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, etc.).
• Assists in mobility and turning as needed.
• Transfers/transports medications as needed.
• Distributes meals, fills water pitchers, assists with feeding.
• Responds to patient call lights promptly and relays information to nursing personnel.
