Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist licensed nurses in providing direct and indirect patient care. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, CNA registration in Maryland, and CPR certification with at least 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred.

You will work under supervision to ensure patient comfort, safety, and accurate documentation while maintaining infection control practices and collaborating with a skilled health care team

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification and Maryland CNA registration required.
• Heart Saver (CPR Certification) required.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of nurse.
• Uses proper infection prevention techniques.
• Performs and records delegated nursing care procedures.
• Observes patients and reports changes in condition to nursing personnel.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Transfers/ transports medications as needed.
• Distributes patient trays and nourishments, assists feeding, and collects trays.
• Responds to patient call lights promptly and relays information to nursing staff.
