Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society serves as caregiver to residents in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN. Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board or in process within four months.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually and yearly competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and daily living activities; record vital signs.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences; support psychosocial needs.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, walking, and ROM exercises; ensure infection control and PPE use.
