Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Orono, ME is seeking a full-time Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate team in an assisted living setting. You will administer medications, monitor residents' vital signs, and contribute to daily wellbeing under a licensed nurse's supervision.

The role requires CMA certification, possibly CNA as required by state, and strong English communication. Basic computer skills and 12 hours CE are expected to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• State-approved CMA or CMA course completion and current certification.
• State-approved CNA program if required by state.
• Must read/write/speak English to ensure patient safety.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
• Attend minimum 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.
• Provide TB test verification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and report observations to the supervising nurse.
• Maintain accurate medication documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to provide person-centered care.
