Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support medication administration and resident care in a long-term care setting. The CMA works under the supervision of a licensed nurse to promote safety, dignity, and independence for residents.

Responsibilities include medication administration, accurate documentation in eMAR, and timely reporting of discrepancies or adverse reactions. CNA certification may be required for additional duties, with CPR/BLS as needed.

Qualifications

• Current medication aide certification or credential required.
• Active CNA certification when required.
• Facility orientation and competency validation completed.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Ability to read and understand medication labels, orders, care plans, and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, dependability, and respect for residents.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under licensed nurse supervision following procedures.
• Verify resident, medication, dose, route, time, and documentation for each dose.
• Document medication administration accurately in eMAR and report discrepancies.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition or behavior to the nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and resident mobility when qualified.
• Follow infection prevention practices and report safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and refer questions to nursing staff as needed.
