Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a patient-centered healthcare team in Fresno. You will support older adults, help manage patient flow, perform routine clinical procedures, and assist providers in examinations and treatments in a community clinic setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, collaboration with nursing staff, and ongoing training within HIPAA-compliant, EMR-based workflows.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification/licensure.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical team to manage patient flow.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments with scheduling staff.
• Answer clinic phones and relay messages to care staff.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, blood glucose checks and related procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams: vital signs, escort to exam rooms, ensure comfort.
• Assist providers and nurses with examinations and treatments.
• Enter medication and immunization histories into EMR.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and monitor supplies.
