Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Medical Assistant (Primary Care & Float) to support outpatient clinic operations. You will assist physicians and nurses, prepare patients, collect histories, and help with exams. The role includes administrative duties, specimen handling, and patient education in a team-based setting.

The position emphasizes compassionate care for frail and elderly patients, with on-site duties across primary care and specialty clinics. On-site, Monday–Friday schedule with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year Medical Assistant program completion.
• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Prepare patients for appointments: room setup, check-in/out, collect histories.
• Record vital signs and document findings.
• Assist during examinations and procedures under physician supervision.
• Handle administrative tasks and ensure clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Triage and support unscheduled provider visits as needed.
• Document care and educate patients as appropriate.
• Conduct staff and patient COVID testing as needed.
• Coordinate and review schedules for on-site specialists.
