Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to deliver care to residents in a warm, home-like setting. The role supports medication administration and resident well-being on a full-time or part-time basis, with shifts from 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm.

The position requires a state Medication Technician license, CPR credentials (or ability to obtain), and completion of a state-approved training.

Qualifications

• Must have state Medication Technician License and competency per state protocol.
• Competency review quarterly under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or within six months of hire.
• Must complete a state-approved training course in drug administration.
• Med-Tech competency evaluated quarterly by the RCD.

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, and discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director.
• Report significant changes in resident status to the RCD.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document/notifies RCD of administration of PRN meds.
• Record PRN meds and affect documentation.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
