Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to provide care for residents in a warm, home-like setting. The role supports medication administration, daily nursing tasks, and resident wellbeing.

Position available for full-time or part-time shifts (7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm). Competitive hourly pay from $21 to $22, with benefits and ongoing training. State licensing and CPR requirements apply, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have state Medication Technician license and demonstrate competency per state protocol.
• Complete medication technician competency review quarterly under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire.
• Must complete a state-approved training course in drug administration.
• Med-Techs evaluated on competency by the RCD quarterly.
• Must have current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completed CHHA/homemaker training.
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director.
• Report any significant change in resident mental or physical status to the RCD.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document/notify RCD of administration of PRN medications.
• Document PRN meds and related effects.
• Assist in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
