Job summary

Catholic Cemeteries Association seeks a Family Service Representative in Lorain, OH to educate families about burial products and services, and guide them through pre-need and at-need arrangements with a compassionate, consultative approach.

You will work with Funeral Directors, Pre-Planning Coordinators, and the Director of Sales to present options, prepare contracts, and support families through decision-making at cemetery locations and community events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related service industry.
• 1–3 years of sales, customer service, relationship management, or business development experience required.
• Cemetery, funeral, insurance, financial services, or consultative sales experience preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, appointments, and customer relationships effectively.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist families with cemetery burial needs on a pre-need or at-need basis through a consultative sales approach.
• Conduct family appointments, sales presentations, and follow-up meetings to identify needs and recommend cemetery products and services.
• Present cemetery options, explain pricing and payment options, complete sales contracts and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity reports, inventory information, and required documentation.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with families, Funeral Directors, clergy, elder care professionals, and referral partners.
• Regularly conduct outside sales activities, including meetings with families and community events to generate new business opportunities.
