Job summary

Vitality-Livin is seeking a personal care specialist to assist residents with daily activities as outlined in service plans. You will help with simple treatments, support emotional health, and perform duties such as laundry and pet care while ensuring dignity and choice for each resident.

You will participate in onboarding and ongoing training, contribute to updating service plans, and report issues to the supervising team to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with performance of activities as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with performance of simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavioral issues as indicated in service plans.
• Perform other services for residents as indicated in service plans (e.g., laundry and pet care).
• Assist in development and revision of service plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences, as well as successful service approaches.
• Observe and report resident problems to LPN or Medication Tech/Aid.
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service training and team meetings.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Wellness Director.
