Job summary

Vitality is seeking a Personal Care Specialist to assist residents with activities, basic treatments, and emotional support per individualized service plans in a supportive community setting. You will contribute to maintaining dignity and choice for residents while adhering to company policies and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavioral issues as indicated in service plans.
• Perform other services for residents (e.g., laundry and pet care).
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service training and team member meetings, as requested.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Observe and report resident problems to LPN (if on duty) or Medication Tech/Aid.
• Participate in development and revision of service plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences.
