Job summary

Sunflower Springs of Lake Wylie is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support residents with daily living activities, meals, dressing, grooming, and personal care. You will help with light housekeeping, laundry, and ensure a clean, safe environment while promoting resident independence and dignity.

You will interact kindly with residents, families, and staff, document observations for the supervisor, and respond promptly to assistance requests, following HIPAA regulations and facility

Qualifications

• Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
• The job requires a basic level of education and related experience; HS diploma or GED preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Attends to all daily living needs of residents including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene.
• Serves and assists residents in dining rooms at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Observes and reports to supervisor daily; notes changes in health or emotional wellbeing.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment; performs daily housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Responds promptly to residents' and families' requests for assistance; communicates clearly with residents.
