Job summary

Harbor View Assisted Living is seeking a Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity. You will assist with personal care, mobility, dining and mobility while maintaining professional conduct and resident rights.

The role requires teamwork, empathy, and clear communication with residents and staff, including reporting health changes promptly to supervisors. CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certifications required.
• Completion of state approved Caregiver program as required by state regulation.
• Must meet age requirements according to community policy and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, mobility, dining and dressing.
• Encourages independence and resident choice while maintaining dignity.
• Communicates with residents, families and staff; reports health changes to supervisor.
• Adheres to HIPAA and resident rights; follows infection control procedures.
• Assists with dining; helps prepare/clean dining areas as needed.
• Documents and observes for safety; promptly reports unusual events or needs.
