Job summary

WellQuest Living is seeking a Caregiver to provide personal assistance and daily care to residents in accordance with the Resident Care Profile. You will support activities of daily living, meals, and recreational activities to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

Reports may be to the Health Services Director or Journey Care Director. Requires empathy, patience, and the ability to work in a team in a dementia-aware environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• One year of health care experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Support mealtimes and deliver room trays; tidy dining areas.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and maintain a safe, neat environment.
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using safe techniques.
• Provide social/ recreational activity support and companionship.
• Follow Universal Precautions and safety policies.
• Maintain documentation and care sign-offs as required.
