Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC in Sarasota, FL is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to provide routine daily care, supporting residents in accordance with their assessment and service plans. This role focuses on maintaining resident dignity while delivering compassionate care in a residential setting.

You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and social participation, and you will report any changes to the nursing team promptly.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and mobility.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents into and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Communicate information and observed changes to a supervisor immediately.
• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in scheduled activities and outings.
• Respond promptly to all resident needs and requests for care and provide assistance as needed.
• Observe emotional condition and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection control practices and report unsafe situations.
• Check residents to ensure personal care needs are met as per wishes.
• Assist in safety drills and perform other essential duties.
