Job summary

Nightingale Respite Care seeks a dedicated Caregiver to provide compassionate, non-medical homecare to clients in our community. You will offer companionship, assist with activities of daily living, and support families by delivering reliable, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• 1 year caregiver experience in health care, nursing home, hospital or other homecare agency setting required.
• Valid driver’s license/state ID and reliable daily transportation.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with housekeeping and daily living activities.
• Assist clients with transfers and ambulation (cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer Lift).
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals with client participation when able.
• Assist with toileting including bedpan or toilet.
• Report unusual events to the administrator and act in emergencies.
• Complete duties per Client Service Plan.
