Job summary

Nightingale Respite Care is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team and deliver quality non-medical homecare to our aging population in Tennessee. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay with weekly direct deposit, and health benefits.

Training is provided and onboarding is fast to get you started quickly. Responsibilities include companionship, housekeeping, assistance with transfers and daily activities, and reporting any changes to the administrator.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• 1 year caregiver experience in health care, nursing home, hospital or homecare setting required.
• Valid driver\'s license/state ID and reliable daily transportation.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation (cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer Lift).
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals with client assistance when able.
• Assist with toileting, including bedpan or toilet use.
• Report unusual events to the administrator.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Complete all duties per the Client Service Plan.
