Job summary

Heartis Village Senior Living, now part of Discovery Management Group, seeks compassionate Caregivers to provide hands-on care and emotional support to seniors in a home-like setting. Join a large senior living family with growth opportunities and a focus on dignity and safety.

As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and contribute to enriching life skills and companionship within a team-driven environment in Peoria, IL.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
• Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well-being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned

Education
