Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking caring caregivers to provide hands-on support to residents in a safe, home-like environment. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence and dignity, and help create a positive, engaging community for seniors.

The role emphasizes compassionate service, teamwork, and adherence to safety and care standards. Training is provided; growth opportunities exist within a large senior living organization.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management and co-workers.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident.
• Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
• Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
