Job summary

The Goodman Group is seeking a Certified Caregiver for our Peoria community. This on-site, part-time role provides routine daily care and medication services in a respectful, resident-centered manner according to care plans.

Essential duties include ADL support, safe transfers, incident reporting, and promoting activities while adhering to safety, infection control, and documentation standards. Prior home care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents using safe techniques.
• Communicate information to a supervisor promptly and accurately.
• Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices.
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities and outings.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and requests for care.
• Observe resident changes and report to nurse.
• Follow infection control practices and safety guidelines.
• Maintain documentation of care and medications as required.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
