Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal care and companionship in clients' homes. You’ll support clients with activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and meal preparation while maintaining a warm, respectful, and safe environment.

We offer flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth. Prior caregiving experience is helpful, but training is provided to help you succeed in this meaningful role.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid within 2 weeks if not certified.

CNA or prior caregiving experience is a plus — but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a caregiver, you’ll provide both practical support and meaningful companionship.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers
• Meal preparation and nutritional support
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Documenting care using our easy-to-use AxisCare app
• Following all safety and infection-control policies

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Responsible, mature, and dependable
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks)
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks)
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required

Schedule

Evening Hours- Shifts between 4pm-9pm
