Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking caring caregivers to support clients at home, helping with personal care, mobility, meals, and companionship. We value compassion, reliability, and strong communication to improve our clients' safety and quality of life.

Training is provided, and you’ll join a supportive team that prioritizes patient dignity, safety, and meaningful connection in every interaction.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Dependable, mature and dependable.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks)
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Able to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks)
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Help with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Support clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Document care using AxisCare app.
• Follow all safety and infection-control policies
