Job summary

Assisting Hands St George seeks caring caregivers to help clients live safely and joyfully at home. You will provide practical support and meaningful companionship, enabling independence and comfort.

Experience is welcomed, but training is provided to equip you with the tools and confidence to succeed in a compassionate home-care setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Documenting care using AxisCare app.
• Following all safety and infection-control policies.
