Job summary

Assisting Hands St George is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal care and companionship in clients' homes. You’ll help with daily tasks, mobility, meals, and transport while offering emotional support and respect. Training is provided to help you grow in a family-oriented team.

Whether you’re experienced or just starting, you’ll receive guidance, flexible hours, and a supportive work environment that truly values what you do for others.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old and able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks.
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Help with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutrition support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Support clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Document care using AxisCare app.
• Follow all safety and infection-control policies.
