Job summary

Assisting Hands St George is seeking caring individuals to join our home care team as a caregiver. You’ll provide personal care, companionship, and practical support to clients in their own homes, helping them live safely and joyfully.

We offer flexible schedules and ongoing training. CNA or caregiving experience is a plus but not required; training and tools are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Help with mobility and safe transfers.
• Prepare meals and provide nutritional support.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

What You’ll Do

As a caregiver, you’ll provide both practical support and meaningful companionship.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers
• Meal preparation and nutritional support
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Documenting care using our easy-to-use AxisCare app
• Following all safety and infection-control policies
