Job summary

Hospice of the Piedmont is seeking a Bereavement Counselor to support individuals, families, and our community through grief. This in-office role is based in Culpeper with occasional travel to Charlottesville, and includes counseling, leading grief groups, and community education.

The ideal candidate holds a master's degree in social work or a related field, with at least one year of experience in grief work, and is available for evening hours; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field is required.
• At least 1 year of experience with grief and loss preferred.
• Clinical experience with individuals, groups, and families.
• Evening hours available to meet client needs.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and provide counseling to bereaved individuals and families.
• Facilitate bereavement groups and workshops.
