Job summary

Indiana University Health System seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide compassionate bedside care and support on a fast-paced inpatient unit. The PCA assists with meals, hydration, mobility, baths, and linen changes while aiding the bedside RN with vital signs and timely reporting of changes.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or completion of IU Health PCA program.
• Familiarity with care appropriate to patient age and development.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient care procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist bedside RN with vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Provide drinks, assist with meal ordering, and help with walking.
• Assist with baths and provide clean linens and gowns.
