Job summary

Indiana University Health System is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide exceptional bedside care. The PCA assists with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and infection control while supporting the RN and care team.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain via IU Health program.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate patient care and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork with RNs and care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and meal ordering.
• Encourage walking, baths, and linen/gown changes to support comfort.
• Provide bedside care under supervision of the RN and report changes.
• Maintain patient safety with gait belts, alarms, and close observation.
