Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is hiring EXLP Assistant Instructors for after-school and enrichment programs. You will support TK–12 students by creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.

Ideal candidates are team-oriented educators who value equity, mentorship, and youth development. The role offers pay between $24 and $25 per hour, with 20–30 hours weekly and up to 15 paid holidays, plus a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Experience engaging TK–12 youth in after-school or enrichment settings.
• Commitment to equity, youth development, and positive program culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities for TK–12 students.
• Build positive, supportive relationships that foster belonging and engagement.
• Support student behavior using restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
• Provide homework assistance and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds.
• Supervise groups of up to 22 youth during indoor and outdoor activities.
