Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks an EXL Program Instructor to deliver high-quality learning experiences for K–12 youth. You will support academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth while aligning with BACR values of Compassion, Curiosity, Humility, Integrity, and Joy.

You will collaborate with families, school staff, and colleagues to create inclusive, trauma-informed, culturally responsive learning environments that foster belonging and equity across the programs and sites in

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher or 48 college units.
• Criminal background check and TB clearance.
• Ability to work after-school hours through mid-June.
• Experience with K-12 youth in educational or enrichment settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Mandated Reporter certification and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and a sense of belonging for disengaged or struggling students.
• Support students’ social-emotional learning through relationship-building and de-escalation.
• Address conflict and bullying using culturally responsive, restorative approaches.
• Know when to involve the coordinator for additional support.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, maintaining confidentiality and partnership.
