Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is seeking an EXL Program Instructor to support K–12 youth through after-school programs in San Rafael. This part-time, non-exempt role emphasizes safe, engaging learning and inclusive environments aligned with BACR values.

The instructor will foster belonging, use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches, and collaborate with families and school staff to meet diverse needs.','#

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher, or 48 college units, or Instructional Aide exam completed.
Ability to pass a background check and TB clearance.
Ability to work after-school hours through the academic year.

Responsibilities

Build trusting relationships and a sense of belonging with students.
Support students’ SEL through restorative approaches and de‑escalation.
Address conflicts and risky behavior using culturally responsive methods.
Communicate with families and coordinate with school staff.
Participate in trainings and apply feedback to improve practice.
Provide homework help and skill-building activities.
