Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge AR is seeking an Admissions Specialist responsible for client admissions and coordinating with the Admissions Director. The role requires strong computer skills, EMR navigation, and compassionate communication in sensitive conversations.

You will manage intake, ensure timely follow-ups, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include processing applications, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting in referrals while adhering to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must have essential computer skills and ability to navigate and use the EMR.
• Must be able to pass drug, nicotine, and alcohol tests.
• Strong phone communication skills for sensitive, Christ-centered conversations.
• Certifications must be obtained within time limits set by Arkansas and Adult & Teen Challenge AR.
• Complete trainings and pass written examinations for certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees client applications and admissions checklist into the program.
• Responds to all client applications within 24 hours.
• Conducts follow-up phone interviews with client applicants and referral sources.
• Uploads client information to the EMR upon arrival with contact details.
• Participates in agency-wide training programs/in-services.
• Familiar with policies, procedures, safety protocols and rules for facility.
• Maintains confidentiality of client and employee information.
• Assists in overcoming barriers to admission and makes referrals as needed.
• Presents new client intakes to interdisciplinary team and attends occasional campus meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
