Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
• Associate's degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar position.
• High school diploma with at least 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: minimum of 2 years' admissions experience in a substance abuse setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone and in-person assessments with potential patients and referral sources.
• Coordinate the referral and intake process, determining level of care.
• Provide orientation to program aspects post-admission, including documentation and data entry.
• Maintain communication with patients, families, referral sources, and unit staff.
• Collect, analyze, and report departmental performance data.
• Assist counselors and senior staff in crisis interventions when needed.
• Ensure timely responses to patient needs and maintain departmental logs.
• Distribute patients fairly among physicians and ensure policy compliance.
