Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in the PACU, following California Nursing Practice Act standards. You will participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, coordinating with the care team and educating patients and families.

Requirements include a CA RN license and BLS; PACU or Critical Care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current CA RN License.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Relevant departmental certification as required (PALS/NRP/ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by collecting and documenting data through interview, history, and physical assessment.
• Interprets assessment data and determines nursing diagnoses; monitors stability.
• Executes and documents care plans per nursing procedures and standards of care.
• Evaluates interventions and monitors for adverse responses and side effects.
• Educates patients and families for self-care and prevention of complications.
• Maintains patient/family communication and documents information in clinical records.
