Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. The role is offered on an independent contractor basis and pays $16.00 hourly.

Schedule includes Sunday 8am-1pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm and Saturday 10am-3pm, with responsibilities ranging from home activity support to personal care and

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Are 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities.
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation and light cleaning.
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments.
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.

The individual is a young male in need of a caregiver to support with supervision and transportation in community outings. Likes to do social outings related to fitness and sports.

Schedule

Sunday 8am-1pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm and Saturday 10am-3pm
