Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Companion Animal Supervisor to lead the care, health, and presentation of live animals while driving sales, customer experience, and operational excellence within the Companion Animal and Aquatics departments.

You will coach partners, maintain high animal welfare standards, and manage day-to-day activities to meet performance goals and ensure a welcoming, knowledgeable environment for customers and pets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1+ year of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of companion animals, aquatics, and animal care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure animal health, safety, and presentation per Petco standards.
• Lead and coach partners to deliver confident, compassionate customer interactions.
• Drive Companion Animal and Aquatics sales, margin, and shrink performance.
• Utilize business insights to analyze trends and implement improvements.
• Oversee daily operations, including animal care, documentation, and compliance.
